Les pralinés – pour tous

Von 18. Juli bis 14. September 2025 entsteht an der Frobenstrasse 41 in Basel ein  Raum für Kunst, Design, Austausch und gemeinsames Gestalten. „Les pralinés – pour tous“ ist ein temporäres Kulturprojekt, das Ausstellungen, Pop-ups, Workshops, Lesungen und spielerische Events miteinander verbindet, zugänglich und lebendig.

Getragen von rund 50 Mitwirkenden aus Kunst, Design und Organisation schafft das Projekt Raum für junge, nicht-etablierte Kreative, die sich ausprobieren, vernetzen und sichtbar werden möchten. Im Mittelpunkt stehen kollektive Verantwortung, niedrigschwellige Teilhabe und kreative Eigeninitiative.

Ob Cheap-Fine-Dining, Cocktails zur Ausstellung oder „Mal mir eine Blume und bekomm einen Kaffee“, unser Programm lädt ein zum Mitmachen und Verweilen.

From July 18 to September 13, 2025, a space for art, design, exchange, and collaborative creation will emerge at Frobenstrasse 41 in Basel.
“Les pralinés – pour tous” is a temporary cultural project that brings together exhibitions, pop-ups, workshops, readings, and playful events—accessible and vibrant.

Supported by around 50 contributors from the fields of art, design, and organization, the project creates a platform for young, non-established creatives who want to experiment, connect, and gain visibility.
At its core are collective responsibility, low-barrier participation, and creative initiative.

Whether it’s cheap fine dining, cocktails at an exhibition, or “Paint me a flower and get a coffee”—our program invites everyone to join in and linger.

Über uns
Der Name unseres Projekts knüpft an die Geschichte des Ortes an: In den Räumlichkeiten befand sich einst der Verkaufsraum einer Schokoladenfabrik, die sich hinter dem Haus befand. Wir greifen diese Geschichte auf und führen sie weiter, allerdings in einem erweiterten Sinn:
Für uns stehen Pralines nicht nur für die süssen Köstlichkeiten, sondern sinnbildlich für das Schöne, das Besondere, das Genussvolle. Unser Anliegen ist es, solche besonderen Momente, Erfahrungen und Inhalte nicht nur einer privilegierten Schicht vorzubehalten, sondern für alle zugänglich zu
machen.
Das Projekt wird von rund 50 Mitgestalter:innen getragen, die sich in vielfältigen Rollen engagieren: von Kunst, Design und Kuration über Grafik, Kommunikation und Technik bis hin zu Fotografie, Gastronomie und Organisation. Wir sind Künstler:innen, Designer:innen, Schmuckgestalter:innen und kreative Organisator:innen. Die meisten von uns leben, studieren oder arbeiten in der Region Basel.

Gemeinsam gestalten wir einen selbst kuratierten Raum als Lernfeld und Plattform für Neues. Wir entwickeln Inhalte, gestalten das visuelle Erscheinungsbild, kümmern uns um Aufbau, Licht und Ton, begleiten das Projekt fotografisch, schaffen kulinarische Formate und koordinieren Abläufe. Auch konzeptuelle Impulse und die Weiterentwicklung des Projekts entstehen aus diesem gemeinsamen Engagement.

Unser Handeln basiert auf freiwilliger Teilhabe, Eigeninitiative und kollektiver Verantwortung.

I’m full of it - between fashion and soft sculpture

4 creatives, each given 6 meters of the same fabric, are met with these criteria:

“Use all and every bit of the 6 meters of textile and create at least on piece of garment. With the rest of the fabric, one can do whatever they want. Everything that has been produced with the fabric is going to be exhibited.”

Starting from a common ground - the fabric and the criteria - each participant shapes the project after their own practice, displaying their own artistic language and distinctive personality. They have the opportunity to roam into research and development showcasing their own understanding of fashion and all that surrounds it.

Walking through the exhibition, the visitor will be absorbed by the dark brown tone of the textile, reminiscent of chocolate and of the originary purpose of the location - a pralines confiserie - whilst being able to explore the perspective of each creative through the exhibited work.
