"There is a peculiar pull in overhearing a phone call when the chance presents itself—or rather, half of one. What reaches you is not a complete dialogue, but only one side. The other half, the distant voice at the other end of the line, remains out of reach. But by then it’s too late; curiosity holds you still for a little longer. This asymmetry turns what you hear into a partial version of the conversation, a half-dialogue. The mind, unsettled by the narrative gaps, asks for more, striving to imagine invisible replies and to reconstruct what is missing."
"In this new situation, which takes the form of an exhibition, Andrea, Louis, and Nolan sustain a fragmented conversation over a call. They catch up on what is happening, intertwining experiences, gestures, and objects, while a listener—myself, or anyone entering the space—through attentive, curious listening, tries to piece together what is missing, what is lost, and what remains open. In that intermediate space of enjoyment, between what is said and what is imagined, a new scene takes shape—like a fully furnished room."
